It began operations in 1990. It is a company dedicated
to the production of fresh oranges. It is located in El Valle,
in Hato Mayor Province, and is a source of employment for
a great number of people in the region.
The business currently has 5,184 gross "tareas" (1 "tarea" represents
approximately 629 squared meters), out of which 3,650 are growing
Valencia oranges, supplying the local market with high quality oranges.
The planting rate being used is of 12.5 feet between plants and 25 feet
between rows, that is 21.67 plants per "tarea", which constitutes a high
mechanization design.
